L'Ametlla de Mar is paired with the sea. Even the tiniest corner is alive with the line of work that is still the main driving force of the village; fishing. This town has hundreds of moorings, a fishing port, a market that holds the typical fish auctions and wonderful cuisine, totally based on products from the sea.
This town, with its roots deep in the sea, has managed to transform itself without losing those roots into a top class tourist resort, thanks to its coastline with broad golden sands and small charming coves.
